Dietary Famine

In needing to admit I’d have to change my way of seeing
Foxtel TV Sports programming means I am experiencing
a small death in the family; there was I, blithely engaged
in following the New Zealand Rugby Mitre 10 Cup series
watching games live to air, and then their dastardly team
introduces the Australian NRC coverage, French Top 14,
Aviva Premiership, Guinness Pro 12, - with many of ‘em
live to air games - so what has to give comes from me

The biggest curse’s getting recordings synced - it seems
most weekend games’re played early PM - whether here
or overseas, and there’s this thing called daylight saving -
plus the one-off live, but unrecordable channel 507, gee,
when you’ve sorted that out and reread the Foxtel guide,
it jells we’re actually being conned; th’ fill-in replays don’t
include all of the games moved out of live programming,
so for me the feast’s indeed become a dietary famine
