It has taken an age to get to a point where
I can even see this damn text, but then it’s
a consequence of being left in th’ dark too
long; there’s no substitute to one’s beastly
old adage actually outdating itself, & that’s
not as difficult as you’d imagine - so here I
am, back in Stone Age again - or it seems
uncomfortably so where using the old MS
Word program even acts a curmudgeon to
my way of thinking, or am I on that wicked
tangent to th’ meaning of progress and it’s
contingent peculiarities - especially since
I effectively grew up on Word; but, let’s be
martyrs in my defence, these days you’ve
reason to use th’ most efficient technology;
it doesn’t mean ‘most common and readily
available’ unless the best is all 2bit to such
an excess its really a different vocabulary
But the truth is - I like to lie down to write -
and creativity’s comfort comes at a price a
23in screen on an iMac won’t pay homage
to, so a laptop’s needed; sadly mine drank
some spilled wine & needs repair - so the
ancient Dell’s cranked up t’ wheeze again
And there you have it; learning how t’ bide
with the urge to write meant discernment’s
traded second seed to practicality - tho’ in
the event I’m back at the desk completing
what I certainly started quite comfortably -
all while updating the Stone Age again …
