Uncommonly Common Sense

If it wasn’t dissent today, then it must
have been yesterday’s thingy’s awry

There’s disconnected feelings like flies
in the ointment, not truly distractions,

Yet they seemingly belie something’s
amiss somewhere important; tho not

Drastically obvious as your dire sets of
self-doubt – let’s not mention ‘em, or

That feeling of clout lacking when this
sort of dilemma thematically surfaces

Whenever the breeze intervenes; if a
wind shifts meanings so dramatically

We’ve a bigger problem on our hands
than just feeling out-of-sorts a bit – or

Am I gilding a ‘give-away’ lily way past
it’s use-by – and somehow that’s right

In the groove exactly for this espousal
of so uncommonly, common-sense …
