Be There To See

You’d get the impression we were well ahead; Her
Grace furnished with two apples, kookaburras fed;
the mobs grown to five, but they don’t stay around
demanding food like they used to - & I, with coffee
in hand, can reflect a 6am rising isn’t too stressful

Then you earn discrete effects by feeling a part of
dawn’s launching process - distractions disappear,
cold hands still reflect that morning airs clean and
cool, but activity around us is like the sun’s rising,
and there they are, all finding al fresco breakfasts

My desire to be ‘advised’ on world events had the
ABC early morning show on air; to say least, zany,
and presenter Craig Zonca fits the scene in manic
efficacy; well last night was a full-moon - which my
canine pal Podge reminded me of for some hours

Thus Today had irrepressible foretastes of events
being either part of actuality, or pretence & hence
a drippy nose suggests the latter shouldn’t qualify -
and we ambivalently drift into Friday, 12th of May,
with the reasoning being, need to be there to see
