Maybe it’s th’ European way - but anything less
explicable, or as distressingly one-sided, would
be erased discretely over here; we try t’ play by
the rules agreed in concert, but whether they’re
supposedly th’ same to International Referees’s
a guessing game: maybe it’s th’ right thing t’ do
in France - neutrality’s a catch 22 scene, unless
you’re imbued t’ properly favour th’ home team
And thus we saw a narrow win to the All Blacks;
yes, France played with enthusiasm and energy,
but perhaps a particularly lenient way they were
refereed requires serious consideration - parties
guilty of similar offences were routinely ‘treated’
differently; I’d guess the TMO had to be French
From the inordinate way replay revues seemed
biassed - and with due consideration penalties
awarded favoured th’ Home team with a lesser
severity than those on the visitors bench; what
it means is obviously different interpretation of
what we used to see as the median of fair play
