On Reflection

On later reflection, a grocery list with only three 

items legitimating the original trip had somehow 

bloomed into 37: yet as the boss lady remarked 

it was only worth that much effort as a carton of 

beer happened to be listed there along with the 

3 litres of good milk to make coffee properly; I’ll 

second any observation as erudite as hers, and 
for the record, item #3 was a package of aspirin 

Tho not for me - it is a blood-thinning agent she 

takes regularly; and yet at the checkout we had 

our trolley filled to the hilt with things inarguably 

selected for all the right reasons, including, yep 

a Wiltshire Saluté Pilsener glass set - which will 

certainly be well entertained later this evening
