Waiting For The Rain

So waiting patiently for the predicted rain suggests
we’re of th' pragmatic set, but somehow it doesn’t
explain how delays affect the anima, reflecting that
what hasn’t come to pass isn’t sustainable, or safe
to take comfort in: then it arrives dispassionately in
rolling crescendos of thunderous applause, saying,
we’re ‘ere now Mate - chill out, take a break - your
satellite connection to the Internet’s disconnected

Better you rested with your feet up - watched TV if
you’ve got reception - we’ll take a couple of hours
t’ complete th’ pass thru and you’ll be drenched in
sixty millimetres o best quality rain; Bungo Creek'll
discretely serenade you from bottoms now replete
in their legerdemainly transcendences
