Another warmish day yet its only 10am; th’ patio
tho' has 38ºC already - & you’d need be deluded
to deem that’s as far as it goes; there’s nothing in
weather predictions presuming cool breeze, such
this afternoon’ll afford a balmy rest, & with no fair
likelihood my best guess is we’ll top 40º+C again
as if setting new records forms a compensation -
well there’s no way we believe it’s unochestrated
But it is Summer, so the way to go is accept that
heat is a consequence of being in the ‘to and fro’
& find a medium that slows accumulation - out in
direct Sun’s rays you’d be stewed at 50ºC, & not
a cool way to show its no big deal - unless you’ll
be winning bets with many bags of ice collected
So we’re hanging out with fans and in the shade;
no, not at th’ Mall - that’s far too passé for oldies
whose slews of Summer’s've learned 'em what’s
th’ G.O. & what’s not. Back aways, when I was a
th’ G.O. & what’s not. Back aways, when I was a
wee lad th’ coolest place was th’ Laundry where
washtubs & sinks made water application easy
These days washing machines won’t comply but
showers do the job, and, rather than use a towel,
if you’re new to th’ idea cold’s what you get when
fans blow moisture away - give it a try - you’ll be
back for sure; then if all else fails there’s th’ A.C. -
altho the Mall’s definitely the smarter innovation
