Yeah I know, tomorrow's ANZAC Day: there’s very
few Commemorations having this day’s prestige, &
on Tasman’s both sides; so we are reminded easily
of War sacrifices made, haunting generations since
an Australian & New Zealand Army Corps raised th’
battle flag back in 1915: & that we have maintained
the tradition says a lot about whom we are, all true
to origins - despite having choices others may not
Then on this day we remember our comrades who
passed away - that they stay alive in our memories
is a tribute we pay for their consummate sacrifice -
generations of their families muse too, respectfully
suffice t’ say, as th’ tradition embraces both of our
Nations, all less artifice, intrigue - or compromise
