They had the first Super W Rugby final late today;
yes, it meant professional womens’ teams played
in Sydney, Australia with QLD v NSW striving in a
game won 16 - 13 by the Home State. Sadly their
final score didn’t say heaps in praise of a contest
that went into overtime 13 all - where a first score
wins; but we can say it’s the first contest and that
there’ll be massive changes in team tactics - and
ball-handling skillsets, tho’ zest & vigour’ll remain
attractive features of the ways ladies contest the
hitherto blokes’ game we say we play in Heaven;
there’s definitely room enough for girls as players
t’ grace th’ stage along with th’ male compadres,
and it’s not too long a wait for when we’ll see…
