Being Queensland

Been drizzling fo’ a couple days, no advent of an 

inexplicable context tho’, we’d been told it’s well 

on th’ way; still, its a nice change from th’ ersatz 

frigidity we don’t associate with Winters up here, 

Southern States gifted us their colder climes, as 

if t’ say here’s th’ real scene; well thanks, but we 

don’t need t’ be reminded why we migrated, & it 

clearly confirms why we won’t be coming back 

But don’t go away & sulk; just keep y’ weather’s 

thermocline proclivities in hand - build a border, 

take a grandiose leaf out of Trump’s partiality, & 

we won’t notice anything ‘cause you’re staying 

well clear of what we don’t need mention’s not 

any relevance t’ the state of being Queensland
