This poem’s for you two C’s, & yes, I’m aware,
there is no consanguinity we can create into a
Charlotte & Clementine thing - but you’re both
eldest daughters - and in my thinking its tie-in
enough taking us where your sisterhood sings
That you’ve not met won’t make my reasoning
less metaphorically poetic; you’re similar in so
many respects th’ beauty of it’s a coquettishly
lavish prodigality we’ll gladly engage within, &
its amazing feeling breathes from each of you
And that’s my defence; where your birthday’s
mitigate th’ inference, I’ll admit you charm me
so easily, you’re a gorgeous pair, and with an
unrepressed naturalness glowing through, no
matter where or when, that’s so candid to me
Happy Birthdays, Charlotte & Clementine, we
will be unreservedly liberated - like the pair of
you in your sharing an outgoing magnanimity
of well-being expressed charismatically, & an
epitome of whom we’d always wanted to be
