Writing sequels before a first edition hits The
Street isn’t a doozy but when y’re seeing this
sort of Theatricality, and on Rugby Fields, it’s
easy; I still say - let the players run the ‘game’
rather than Epiphanies o’ Deities bound more
t’ their sets of rules, written contractually and
scripted t’ ensure profitability, than any who’s
who dreams o’ rules f’ such enduring scenes
Clearly, it IS The Game that matters - & fame
and fortune can’t desecrate what players will
always believe makes this contest true blue -
its me against you - without TMO or Referee
arbitration of whether th’ Rule decides who’s
going to get re-employed and therefore paid
But the bitch isn’t in whether y’ get Laid by a
bonus; its whether the guys who’ve got onto
a paddock really feel it is a Contest between
them & the other team, & keeps on making it
The Dream we all grew into such a long way
back; the one about what still keeps us here
