Another one o’ those days where th’ weather’s
as half-assed and unconvincing as our current
Government, but that’s the norm I hear y’ say -
or was it a postscript to whatever you’d wisely
kept silent, given th’ options you’ve left & thus,
instead of disenfranchising yourself, you’d just
made th’ grade as a wise and erudite observer
of th' unchanging mess we’re having to inherit
But you can’t blame the Government for those
unholy explications of why ‘extremes’ exist for
what was once metrological normality, or am I
being naive; the thing is, no-one’s making that
capital gain out of it you’re supposed to - thus
passing th’ golden spoon of opportunity on to
th’ next generation - who’re bemused as we’ll
have to agree we were to our forebears; & yet,
somehow, it wasn’t th’ weather’s intervention -
if there’s a causality it seems t’ exist where all
‘change’ explanations reject whose ‘richness’
didn’t pay any, at all, of the proper bounties
