An Immunity

It’s too soon for a beer, but in today’s initial game 

there’s enough energy expressed to consider we 

might be weathering the storm under duress that 

you need medicinal prescriptiveness to relieve; a 

better suggestion’s whether it’s merely beginning, 

and such ideas of stress subjection lead to need 

where palliative measures impress a can of beer 

remedy, all dutifully & routinely delivered to hand 

With two more of the same brand of matches still 

to endure, you’d be excused reconsidering a ban 

on a beer or three before six pm, even tho this is 

an exceptional Rugby Saturday and the Mitre 10 

Cup is in its fulsome extravagance; and there I’d  

see what might be grounds to grant an immunity
