While I know why they’re named wompoo fruit
doves after their beautiful call, I’m still amazed
at no innovative deconstruction in the ways its
pronounced; should it have been ‘warm pooh’,
who knows, th’ dove doesn’t seem to care too
much. As long as there is fruit on the Moreton
Bay figs, it voices its magnanimity of delight in
such gentleness the debate’s never arisen, so
There are no surprises in store for my view of
nomenclature’s disambiguation - and true too,
the privileged station of the bird’s beauty - yet
classification's made it: Ptilinopus magnificus
of Phylum: Chordata - & Higher classification:
Fruit dove, Order: Columbiformes - wompoo
