And thus, just for arguments sake, sitting in th’
shade of its permanence we’ve decided things
mattering are those WE made; well not all we
made: most of ‘em’ve been there ‘forever’ in a
sense stretching back to civilisation’s advent -
but we claim to be in the same stream, for the
right reasons naturally, and yet miss the cue it
truely wasn’t ‘our’ first-place-doing at any rate
But then I guess its easier to be a transient as
a means than agree there’s been more ‘ages’
than we’ve imagined or seen; - thus shadows
from edifices are a perpetuity with more éclat
than shade from trees or mountain ranges, or
is that as an idea of immutability too daunting
