By not taking anything away from the latter-day
symbolism such a fire suggests, it’s instance is
no-less moderne, & much more organised vue;
true, it is a hot way to render pruning effects of
tree management, & burning ‘em green needs
a heap, so we’re properly clothed, but the ‘bio’
impact is redeemed collectively: we reduced a
supposed huge debt by scaling risk and effect
And even though Fire Management Advisories
expect it’ll be a torrid bush-fire warning spring
we’re ‘bout two cups o’ tea ahead of ‘em, with
three sugars please; at least we took aim at th’
problem we see we can contain, & it confronts
our view without being influenced by tragedy
