Commentary In Lieu

It was a case of suffering the anguish which, even
after th’ event, soured savour of a victory meant t’
be there for all t’ coambulate; not that it’d ever be
registered to th’ commentary team whose view of
the debacle ached in a ‘one-eyed, one-team only’
parsimony too debilitating for sanctimonious lieu;
and they got away with it on the day, despite that
obvious scoreline suggesting they missed it too…

But after many replays one sensed that emphasis
was a discordant slew bent into categorising ‘fey’
ideas about what mattered and whose comments
were better suited; or maybe we grew better ears
adjusted to reality manifest in a palpable, on-field
superiority - and in just who was clearly the best
