Mother’s Day

It wasn’t supposed t’ be a lunatic weekend - and
with Karma o’ good grace didn’t end up that way;
we’d managed t’ survive th’ passing-on of th’ old
Whirlpool dishwashing machine; it was on its last
legs Friday, yet, with style, a replacement Dishlex
was chosen, bought & installed on Saturday, and
there weren’t any dramas; then Sunday, Mother’s
Day, it was off t’ Brisbane for a morning tea party

Needless t’ say the grandchildren made it a prize
occasion, their behaviour amazing despite ample
opportunity to be diffident or just run crazy in the
Park; I guess they too understood a wee bit of th’
Mother’s Day theme, harkened to th’ gaiety of all
the erudite patrons at Park Cafe, & played it cool
